Ask for a maintenance log if the dealer can give you that. You can see what history the boat has had with his dealer. Your local dealer will be doing the work so if they are ok with it then you should be Ok. They will be the ones filing all the warranty paperwork and doing the work.
Good idea. Thanks!

Bottom line in your situation it's all going to come down to how much you trust in and the integrity of your local dealer. Some great suggestions were made here on how to best cover your bases but at the end of the day a little trust in things is what is ultimately required. I would put the biggest amount of that trust in your gut. If you feel like you are comfortable with the situation then buy the thing and try to enjoy what so many of us had to endure in the past. Having a new boat just looking at you in the garage waiting for spring. Ha ha ha. I don't view this as being all too different from anyone who has bought a used boat at a boat show in January. So long as your dealer and the manufacture are willing to back the integrity of the boat with the inspection you should be able to sleep easy. Spend your time more wisely in researching how to get the best Surfwave out of that boat. Mine was a little tricky to dial-in. Lots to learn on the site and lots of great people willing to share.

A22 is a great boat, was my first wake boat. 73 hours is not much for 2 seasons, hopefully there’s a good explanation for why somebody bought such an expensive wake boat and barely used it...that said, you may get hooked on wake surfing-it can be highly infectious. And you may get envious of the Malibus and the new designed A24...it happens, just saying. I’m in a 22 MXZ and find myself having strong desires for the new 24....buddy of mine just got a new A24 and the wake is awesome.

I bought it from a private party in Indiana but I'm from MN and talked with Kody from MN Inboard. He seems great and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Did you pick it up for under the 60k he was asking. I was looking at that boat myself and wondering what they are going for after negotiations. Great looking boat.

Congrats. Awesome looking boat. I'm also in MN and man is it a long wait. I've got 117 days to go.
