Having an issue with my cruise control and trying to see if this is normal or not. I swear it worked differently last year.

2016 T23, I have the paddlewheel cruise. When I set the speed to 22.4, the boat per a GPS phone app runs 22.4 +/- .2 mph, so it holds it pretty accurately. However, on the right side of the screen for the "Actual Speed" reading it shows 20.8-21mph. It never goes anywhere near 22.4

Conversely, when surfing, if I want to go 11.4mph per a GPS phone app, I have to set it to 12.4 on the cruise control "Set Speed" and the "Actual Speed" read 12.4 but it's actually going 11.4 per a GPS app.

My dealer is telling me this is normal with a paddle wheel. I'm not sure that's the case. I have the calibration offset to 6%. When I had it at 0% it would run 23.4 when I set it to 22.4, but it would say I was going 22.4.

Most probably have not tried to calibrate or verify it at multiple speeds. I️ did my calibration around 20 mph. After calibration my surf setup matched what the dealer suggested so I️ am inclined to believe it is accurate at surf speed. Before calibration my best speed was way different than theirs. But now I️ am curious. Next time I️ have the boat in the water (April) I️ will check it.

It's not the the calibration is off, it's the the literal display shows a wildly different speed than the "Set Speed". If you set yours to 20mph, does it say it's going 20mph on the right side of the display? Mine says it's going 18.4mph when I set it to 20mph, but it's actually going 20mph when I verify with a GPS app. This is what I'm trying to verify as normal or not.

Most of my set speed is surfing and there is always a little variability between the set speed and the actual but it is not that much. Starting out, it can take a little while to hone in on the set speed. Ie, set is 10.6 and cruise kicks in at 11.2 and works down to 10.6. Then running is usually within .2 of the set speed. And that is always fluctuating a little. Not a constant delta. I’ve not verified the set speed with a gps.

Yeah so mine if I set it to 12.4 for surfing it will say the Actual Speed on the dash is 11.4-11.6.

My dealer said that's normal but he'd replace the paddle wheel and flash the dash computer with the latest update. So, I guess we'll see.
