Any suggestions for mounting fire extinguisher. Where have you mounted yours. I have a '16 T22. Was thinking about next to sub by right foot of captain, in corner. Seems like this would be an easy spot and screws or bolts used to mount wouldn't have the chance of poking through fiberglass if mounted to kick panel. Maybe not the best looking spot. Also thinking maybe behind captain chair down low to side wall just in front of rear seat. Kind of prefer under glove box on right wall of storage locker. Concerned about length of screws possibly poking through fiberglass into bow walk thru. Was also thinking about mounting some type of storage bag to the same area for sunscreen and small items.
It's winter so just tinkering with stuff waiting for spring.

Was thinking something like that. I don't have the same room on the left like that. Right now I just have it propped up under the seat with batteries but can't stop tinkering around waiting for warm weather.

I mounted mine to the sidewall behind the drivers seat/in front of the bench seat cushion. Easy access but out of the way.

I mounted mine to the driver's seat base (the fiberglass part) on the gunnel side. basically that wasted space under the throttle / behind the driver's cupholder.

Same with mine, though I have no intentions of trying to fight a fire on a boat that holds 70 gallons of fuel under the floor! I'm making a swim for it!

Didn't think of the seat base. Great idea guys. Thank you. Did you just use some type of shelf tapping screws?
The other thing I was thinking about mounting was some type of mesh storage bag to the right side wall of the storage area behind observer seat. My old Supra had a mesh bag in that storage space that was mounted to wall but also Velcro'd on and off the mount. It was awesome for stowing sun tan lotion and few other items. My concern is with screwing into that side wall and how thick it is between the inside and outside of walk thru to bow. I don't want to poke a screw thru. Any idea what the thickness is right there and if safe to mount so,etching inside storage area.

no DO NOT use self tapping screws (at least not on the seat base) because you will end up cracking the heck out of the gel.

Use your extinquisher mount as a template to mark the holes with a sharpie, then drill the holes with a drill, then chamfer the holes with your technique of choice (wedge type dremmel bit works good for this stuff) then screw in your extinquisher mount.
