But never had it do what you're describing. I assume you checked the prop and there wasn't a rope around it.
If the safety switch was hit, or switched off, then I wouldn't be able to start the engine, correct? I'm almost 100% sure that I didn't hit that switch, and I was able to start the engine back up and let it idle. The engine quits when I put the boat in forward or reverse.
Yes I checked the prop and there is nothing wrapped around it.
