I would love to hear more about these new WakeMaker 825 rear ballast bags. I just finished my 20 hour break in on a 2016 T23 and am trying to figure out ballast setups. Wakemakers is pushing me hard on these 825, but I cannot find anyone who has used them.

I have a 2016 Axis T23, and I purchased the wake makers 825 bags for the rear and sumo 650 for the front. Still need to do more testing. I ran all the factory tanks and the pnp full, wedge down, driver and spotter and large guy surfing and seemed hard to get on plane. Going to try without wedge first then with additional weight in bow. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've got the exact same setup, I can get to surf speed, 11.2, fine but it struggled to get to wakeboard speeds. Talking greater than 30 seconds and that was without the wedge that time. I'm running the 2419 prop on mine. I'm thinking about changing to the 2773 however because that should put that RPM on takeoff in the 4k range which is the highest torque on the 350. I think it's a little too high right now and doesn't have the torque available.

Are you having any issues with the sumo sack up front not completely draining? Is this normal? When installing I disconnected the plastic factory Y splitter and ran the fill to the upper port on the bag and the other two tubes to the corner drains on each of the back corners. This sound correct??

No, I put the line with the check value, which happened to be the fill on the port side, then the vent on the top, and then drain on starboard side. Mine drains pretty flat.

Mine is just like 80AMT23 with the plumbing. Top vent, port fill, starboard drain. It doesn't drain very well unless you switch toggle to empty and then accelerate to surf speed to get bow in the air. Even then it still has several gallons of water in it when done.

I've got a 2015 A22 but we run 1100s as full as we can get them with 650 sumo in the front. I also ALWAYS grab my extra 550 bag and put it in the front middle as far forward as possible. Even with the wedge it was no problem getting on plane.

The 350 with the 2015+ transmission ratio should get you on plane without issue. Try some more bow weight.

With the 1100's in your A22 and getting them as full as you can, does it put a lot of bowing on the engine dividers? Also do you have to move the bag around or will the water fill out the bag in locker?
