I know this thread is old, but my 2012 is doing the same thing. Happened during the test ride and they "fixed" it prior to delivery. Was an intermittent problem for the past couple months since I got the boat, but it's been like this for the past 2 weeks. Did anyone ever figure out what was causing this so I know what to tell the dealer to look for when I take it in?

Did it do it while cruising across the water or right when you started it? Mine acted up up a few times on startup and then I swapped the tach twice due to cruise control issues and something else, been a while and can't remember but I remember it would always do it if you didn't start cranking right when you turn the key on, if you waited it would pop up and start beeping and going crazy, I would have to disconnect battery and start over to make it stop, one time it did it to me after towing 5 hours in the rain too, had to open engine covers for an afternoon then it was fine all weekend

Always on startup. I will see 0 hours and know it's not going to work. Now I normally turn the key to "on" for a sec to prime the pump before starting. You brought up a good point though, I will disconnect the battery tomorrow and see if it resets.

It may be like the problem 67king was having and we have a bug in our ignition switch, try cranking as soon as you turn the key forward and see if it goes away, mine would always do it when someone else was driving the boat and starting it too slow

I just started having this problem. Did the ignition switch fix it?

Lol it's been over a year since mine has done it but it did it to me yesterday, I was cranking and when I thought it was gonna fire off I let off the key and it didn't start, then set a code. Luckily I had my scanner and it set the same code it always has, something about bad intelligent device or module, I just cleared it and it was fine for the rest of the day.
