Get surf gate! You might find your time doing each changes. Last summer we test drove '15 A20, '15 A22/T22, NXT (think the 20, dont' think the NXT22 existed at that point), plus a whole slew of other stuff out of our price range. We then got word about the model change for '16 in the A20. We bought the thing at an event in May without even seeing a full photo of the boat. If you are running 2-6 people there is more than enough room for everyone, or if you are on smaller lakes like we are it works perfect (we trailer a lot & the garage is only so big - otherwise a 22 footer may have ended up behind the truck). The NXT felt more like a ski boat to me that could surf and board if you wanted it to, but we wanted a boat that could board and surf and ski "if" we wanted it to.

Wakeboarding - I know enough to get me in trouble - I run with our bow bag full and wedge down an the wake is more than big enough for me. My buddy who does roles, flips and all that stuff loved it. We ran 3,000 ballast plus wedge and I am pretty sure it scared him a litttle on the first hit since he wasn't expecting it to be so big and landed a good 10 foot into the flats.

Surfing - for a 20' boat nothing else in the 20 foot sector can really touch it. We had the same 3K plus wedge and three people in the boat and the wave is awesome. Sure its not the same as the A22/T22/T23/A24 but its just a little guy in comparison to those.

Also, the 5 year warranty is pretty awesome. Our dealer already changed out the surf gate actuators, some fuses that kept blowing to breakers, plus some other random stuff. All I do is drop it off, they fix it, and I say thank you.

I agree, for those prices, depending on option differences between them all I'd go 16 A20 as well.

Between those two boats, I'd go with the A22. I have a 12' and absolutely love it. We aren't big surfers so surf gate doesn't matter to me, everyone in my crew is also goofy footed so it makes that even easier. Id say the only times I wish I have surf gate is if I have a large crew and its impossible for everyone to sit on the surf side.

I have a fully loaded boat as well, which I knew I would never use those features much, but I have used them more than I imagined. For instance the underwater lights. We cruise around the harbor during christmas boat parades and stay out on the lake after dark, those things are on the whole time. The heater is super nice during the winters. I also have 4 of the spinning board racks and somehow is still manage to fill up all 8 slots. The biggest thing for me though was I have the salt series LS3, it was the biggest reason for my boat purchase.

Out on the lake all day, I feel anything under a 22' would be cramped. I usually have a crew of 5-6 and after everyone brings there bags, boards, and lake stuff, even the A22 starts to feel small. I couldn't imagine a 20' unless you have lake restrictions. Also, whats nice about the A22, is its really hard to mess up the wake. I've ran numerous ballast configurations and everyone one of them worked great. I regularly have over 5k though.
