Entering Boat From Water

This does not seam to be a problem for me but some of my crew thinks that it is a problem getting in the boat from the water without a boarding ladder.Do you guys have any problems with this and if so does anyone have any good ideas for adding a ladder?

there are some good options, like ladders that mount under the swim step. if you have a wedge you will need to put it to the port or starboard side of the step, and if you surf, this will jack up your wave.

I have never had anyone ever complain about this before, not on my boat or any others. when wakeboarding my step is a few inches under the water so its really not an issue.

I'm sorry but WOW...it doesn't get much easier than getting aboard on an inboard boats platform. I guess you could some how attach a ladder to the platform BUT it may have to be stored on top of the platform instead of tucked under due to water drag and then with a stored ladder on top it may get in the way of getting ready to wakeboard.

I don't have any problems getting aboard so Im not really worried about. I would not want a ladder on or under the platform. Im not sure why they have trouble I guess they are just not use to a inboard they all have I/O boats with ladders.

Can't say I've had this problem either. You could try a rope ladder and attach it to the handle on the transom. Roll it up/down between sets and it wouldn't cause problems with wake.

nasty that is a good idea, but holy crap, if you cant get up out of the water onto a flat swimstep at water level, then I do not think you should be wakeboarding? I imagine he has some older or out of shape friends that are the ones complaining...?

I would be more worried about letting anyone into the water that doesnt have the fitness to get back onboard that low deck - how long can they realistically tread water? Like Johnny said mine is usually an inch or two below water. If you intentionally fill only the bag bags it make a nice spot to sit in a couple inches of water on those scotching hot days.

My last boat was an i/o and I took the ladder off the swim deck because it would keep snagging the tow line. That deck was way higher and I was sort of surprised, but I never had any complaints:
