I am wondering if there is a list/document of the options for these boats and their specific price? As well as the base price of the models, the paint option pricing, trailer options and pricing?

I ask this coming from the Automotive world where all of this is documented for invoice and MSRP pricing. I prefer to do all of my research and know exactly what I want and how much it is before even talking to a dealer. Well this is how I've done it in the past.

Essentially when I bought my truck (2012 Raptor) all the dealers were trying to push them for 5000+ over MSRP, which I was not willing to pay considering I was ordering it. So I knew the options I wanted and their respective invoice prices so I called until I was able to find a dealer to place the order for 500 over invoice. Saved me about 10k also.

I understand that boat dealers may not work the same. I also don't want to tire kick because I am not buying this year.

I am interested in a T22, Z5 Bimini, Surfgate, Mid range stereo...

Maybe we can open up the discussion with the options list and MSRP pricing that some of you guys received?

Texas Malibu list the options prices but not the base. Just find out the base price of the models and then take a little time and browse through their boats and see if you can find all the options you are looking for. However, most dealers are not ordering with the Z5 which is about $2500-$2700 if ordered with boat or $3500 after you order. I believe the standard tricked out trailer is right around $3000 up charge. Trailer options there are several. Standard tandem axle, tricked out which is standard one color paint with wide fenders and 18" wheels with low profile tires, there's a dual paint option, and there's also metal flake option (either half or full trailer). Then you have motor options, 350, 409, 450, and 555. There's also gel coat options...straight up, flip side, tricked out, and solid each with 2 versions as well. These options also vary slightly from dealer to dealer. We try to be as informative as possible on this forum but this is a hard question to get an exact number you are looking for. Best thing to do is go right in during the fall when it's slow and sit down and spec a boat out with your options. A good dealer will welcome you in and sit down with you and shouldn't take more than 15-20 min to get an MSRP without starting the negociations.

I'll take a look at their site and see what I can dig up.

I wonder how flexible these dealers are on new orders? To me they really aren't selling me anything...I already know what I want they are just the outfitter. I would prefer to order (then I'm only paying for the options I want), but would rather pay the price of a boat that has sat on the lot for a year...if that makes sense.

True on the new leftovers. However, you can order a new boat for the same price as a current year in-stock. My dealer has never tried to talk me into a showroom boat and at the current time they have 15-16 Axis in stock so they could easily try. I've also referred 3 friends to my dealer who have gotten either Axis of Malibu and my dealer never pushed them either towards in stock boats if they wanted to order. Between the 4 of us we have ordered 9 boats in the last 3 years with no issues. Keep in mind, dealers are allotted a certain number of hulls and build slots. If the dealer runs out then you are stuck, however, this is very very rare and they could trade a hull they are allotted and haven't had built yet for the hull you want to build.

That Texas Malibu site was actually really helpful as far as the MSRP of some options...

Board Racks= $563 Each
Surfgate= $2500
Auto Wedge= $1181
Stereo Pack 2= $3100
Bluetooth remote= $107
350 Engine= $243
Cover= $778
Depth Finder= $340
Mirror and flip up seat= $167
Standard Bimini= $674
Pull Up Cleats= $319
Trailer= $3000+ depending on options

That's just a few. Does anyone know the MSRP of an A22 and a T22? I have read that the T22 is like 4000 cheaper?

I'm not sure how credible this site is, they dont even list the t23, but I saw another member post a link to it awhile back- seedealercost.com i've tried to compare a little here and there and the numbers seem pretty close.

This is 100% what I was looking for. Works basically like Edmunds and NADA. Like you said I am not positive of the credibility, however the MSRP prices looks in sync with what was being shown on the Texas Malibu site.

I am not sure how boat dealers work so I'm not sure if there is the ability to push toward invoice pricing. looking at the base price MSRP vs Invoice there was a big difference. In automotive the difference is typically not that much difference, and car dealers get a 3-4% dealer holdback even if you were to buy right at invoice. This may not be true with boat dealers.
