I have the LF brostock boat and we would run full factory plus PNP and 600's in the rear. Then fill two 600's In the cabin and another 200 of lead under the back corner seats and no wedge. That was how we ran it for awhile

Now we replaced the two cabin 600s with the 800 floor sac and a 450 sac on top of that. When we run wedge, I'll put the 450 in the bow.

I tried 900s in the rear, but didn't like how they fit. I have a salt series boat with two coolant reservoirs in the hatches. The 900 would be pinched off by those.

Unlike everyone else, we don't run too much bow weight at all, just the 950 bag under the seats.
I have the ls3 though and I'm definetely think of getting the 2315 prop vs the 1235 that's on there now.

I agree. I love the lip with the wedge but the wedge means a smaller sweet spot on the wake so boat speed and line length have to be dialed to hit the lip consistently. Without wedge it's much more forgiving but does lack that boot if that's what you really like

Slightly disagree. After going full weight, I have to say the lip is better without the wedge. I feel like the wedge made the wake wide and rampy. Now, it seems to be a little more narrow, clean and more vert. Just my opinon. Either way, if you have been running only wedge like I was, I strongly suggest adding weight and giving it a try.

I've done 4650-5050lbs without the wedge and still like the wake shape with wedge and less weight.

I may give this a try this weekend. I have been running wedge, factory ballast, plug and play 400's in rear and 750 under front seats, 750 on the floor, 400lbs of lead strategically placed and a 250 up front. I have access to a 1,100 and 750 sac. I may try to pull up the wedge and fill the 1,100 on the floor and the 750 on front seats. We have this dialed pretty well at 23.8 mph and 75 feet of rope. I like the lippyness and boot from the wedge, but willing to try something different.

imo it won't have the same vertical push you typically have from the wedge but the top will of the wake will offer a more firm pop. It won't feel as steep either but it will be bigger.

Honestly this is why I love the wedge. You can change the shape of the wake depending on the rider's style. I can't wait to upgrade to a 2015 Malibu lsv in a couple of years and give the power wedge some play.
