Very good. That extra weight up front really adds some pop. I'd like to add some in the cabin floor to see what it does.

Yeah man, it loves low center weight. I have 400 lbs on the floor in the center of the boat under the side bench seats.

Glad to see you not using the wedge and using bow weight... these wakes really like to have 50/50 distribution, bow weight is the key to a firm wake that does not give way when you hit it hard, it also allows you to ride a little bit slower and still have a firm clean wake.

Take some pictures when you get a chance. I bet our wakes look almost identical

Why do you not use the wedge?

I just prefer the wake without it, especially when you start adding a lot of weight.

I do not like how a wedged boat drives and turns
I do not like the increase in fuel consumption when using a wedge instead of comparable water weight
I do not like how the last 6" of the wedged wake gets steep and really thin, I tend to blow through that last few inches, and when you have the boat weighted heavily, adding the wedge can make the lip curl or have a washed inch or two at the lip (like a heavily weighted SAN 230).

I know some guys will run 4000 lbs plus the wedge and they love it, it is all just preference. I chose the A22 based on the V25 hull of the 05-08 VLX. My buddy had an 07 VLX and ran 3500+ lbs in it and the wake was amazing, sometimes the wedge would self deploy as we were riding and the wake got that 2 inch wash at the lip. Based on his wake I ordered my A22 without the wedge.

I ride my friends 06 VLX with just stock MLS and the wedge and at 21 mph the wake is really good and fun...

Thanks for the opinion. It helps to know some people dont like it. I have only rode with wedge down and about 3K ballast. It was way more than I needed but fun.

Duh. I'm running 2313 prop. Supposed to pull just like 2315 but lower rpm.
