Hey all, I've been using one of those cheapo sticky suction cup w bendy arm contraptions to hold my iphone while using the aux input into my headphone jack. The thing keeps losing suction and falling off. I have it above and forward of the throttle on the wall. It is a perfect location if it would stay put. Has anyone come up with a semi-permanent solution for a phone mount while driving?

Mine is actually fixed to the sidewall below the throttle. It's an adjustable rigid arm that puts my galaxy right at my fingertips when my arm is resting on the armrest.

I'll get you some pics in a day or two if you don't see any before then.

This is mounted to the sidewall (just behind the nameplate)

Then this attaches to it:

And this attaches to the other socket on that arm above:

Finally this is just the example for the naked iPhone 4 (they have mounts for an iphone in a case too) and this bolts to that little ball above

I would suggest this one though, especially if you have the lifeproof.

It's the only one available for the Galaxy S4. They have a video of it holding an iphone while mounted to a dirtbike riding pretty hard and it doesn't slip out.

Thanks! Just ordered the universal one. Sick of losing my cup holde rto the cell phone. Seems like every time I finally get a mount for the boat, the next month I get a new phone.

yea, plus when you have your phone in the cup holder you have to reach down to pick it up and look at it.

I play pandora exclusively also, so it's necessary for it to be at my fingertips to pause/mute or skip a crappy track

Here's how it looked on my old Tige and iPhone before I got my Axis

Here's my phone mount too... this photo has the old tray, I've since installed that X-grip they came out with for the Galaxy and any other phone.
