Im looking to buy a boat, used preferably. However, our needs make it difficult to find anything used. What would be the final price range for this boat? I just want an idea before heading to the dealer.

2013 Axis A22
Solid gelcoat (white)
White tower
SALT SERIES
fixed board racks ( 1 pair)
bimini
Plug and Play
Cinco Prop
Wedge
Sound Pack 1

I have $12k down payment. The Salt Series is a MUST for us. Our plan is to run 750 pound bags in the rear, and the 950 up front with a another 250 or 400 in the bow also. I install audio myself so I would prefer just the basic sound package. However, I don't have an overflow of cash so the Alpine Type S speakers would work for now. I don't enjoy cutting holes in fiberglass ha.

A few questions:
Are the Chillax seats worth it?
Are the Manifolds and Riser Closed cooled? If so, where is the water injected into the exhaust?

Thanks!

Definitely sounds like a custom order boat. Not sure you're going to have the negotiating range compared to floor stock

Is your local dealer near salt water because if he is not he will probably not have one boat on the lot with the salt water package. Only dealer I know of in texas that orders boats with that package is the Houston Malibu dealership. Also solid white is probably going to be hard to find also. I am with AJ on this I think you might have to custom order or cut out a few must have items.

The boat dealer is across from the ocean but they don't stock any axis boats. They just order them or have them shipped from their other dealership. Their main shop is inland so none of them have salt packages. I've also been on Onlyinboards everyday looking for one. As far as white, I would take either white, charcoal, or black. I just am not a fan of bright colors like yellow, green, orange, red.

The main thing for me is the galvanized trailer and the closed cooling. I just replaced the manifolds on the family's tige and they didn't look good at all. The salt just eats the trailer like its nothing.

How water sealed is the engine compartment, from water coming in from the rear hatches? Our tige now, water drips from the back hatch, straight ontp the serpetine belt and down onto the alternator and all the pullys. I've replaced all that 3 times already and now I just dowse everything in WD-40 after every use. Crap design!

The Axis has only 2 hatches so the opening is dead center over the motor. However, above the motor is the tray that most of us put ropes in. This tray has 2 small holes in 2 of the corners to drain water. I'd have to look closer at my boat to see if these holes are letting water drain on to any major motor components but I don't believe they do.
